MALOLOS, Philippines — Three persons were arrested for violating the election gun ban in Bulacan on Friday night.
Col. Charlie Cabradilla, acting provincial police director, said Ramilito Torrifial, Ferdinand Torres and Greggy Legaspi were apprehended following pursuit operations in Barangay Siling Bata, Pandi and ended in Barangay Burol 2nd in Balagtas.
Police said a caliber 9mm pistol, 16 bullets, a magazine, three sling bags, 15 assorted identification cards and the Mitsubishi Outlander that the suspects used were among the items seized.
Up to 95 gun ban violators have been arrested in Bulacan since Jan. 9.
In Nueva Ecija, reports reaching Col. Jess Mendez, acting provincial police director, said 42 gun ban violators have been arrested.
