Cop caught on video threatening girlfriend’s in-law
MANILA, Philippines — A police officer is facing charges after he was caught in a viral video using his firearm to threaten the brother-in-law of his girlfriend in Quezon City.
Cpl. Wesley Hernandez, who is assigned to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Station 14, is facing a complaint of grave threat and alarm and scandal.
QCPD director Brig. Gen. Remus Medina has issued a relief order against Hernandez, but it has yet to be implemented as he remains at large as of yesterday.
A police report said the incident occurred in front of the house of the victim, Shaun Anthony Dolor, in Barangay Pasong Tamo at around 8:45 p.m. on April 29.
Probers said Hernandez, who was drunk, threw a helmet at his girlfriend, Jennelyn Mojica, during an argument in front of Dolor’s home.
Hernandez reportedly went berserk when he saw Dolor’s wife taking videos using her cell phone.
As seen in the video, which has gone viral on Facebook, Hernandez drew his firearm and tried to shoot Dolor but was stopped by his girlfriend.
Hernandez has reportedly been blaming the Dolor family for not being promoted. The Dolors have filed complaints against Hernandez for his previous outbursts.
