American singer found dead in condo

MANILA, Philippines — American R&B singer and songwriter Keith Eric Martin, who is best known for his romantic songs, was found dead in his unit at a condominium in Barangay Bagumbayan, Quezon City yesterday morning.

Lt. Col. Christine Tabdi, Eastwood police station commander, said they received a report about a situation at the condominium building at around 7:15 a.m.

A resident notified the building’s property manager about a foul smell they traced to Martin’s unit.

“Police and barangay officers went to the unit,” she said in a phone interview.

When police officers and a representative from the condominium entered the room, they found Martin lifeless on his bed.

Martin is best known for his hit ballads such as “Because of You,” “Moment in Time,” “Love of My Life,” “Coming Home,” “I Don’t Wanna Think About It” and “Return to Me.”
