5 rent-sangla scam suspects nabbed in Bulacan

MALOLOS, Philippines — Five persons have been arrested and two vehicles have been recovered in connection with a car rental scam in Marilao, Bulacan.

Jennelyn Godoy, John Ace Chavez, Carlo Etomay, Harvie Odin  and Lorenzo Sagayap were apprehended in Barangay Loma de Gato on Tuesday, according to belated reports received by acting Bulacan police director Col. Rommel Ochave.

Investigation showed that personnel of the Highway Patrol Team-Bulacan and Marilao police conducted the operation after the suspects pawned the Toyota Avanza and Mitsubishi Montero they rented from Jan. 27 to Feb. 25 from Monaliza Pajares and Dante Olipas.
