Star City defers January 14 reopening

MANILA, Philippines — A popular amusement park in Pasay City has decided to postpone its scheduled reopening next week due to a spike in COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila.

Star City earlier said it would reopen on Jan. 14 after more than two years of closure.

The amusement park shut down after it was struck by a fire in October 2019.

In a Facebook post, the management said the reopening of Star City would be postponed.

The management said it would prioritize the health of its guests and employees.
