5 wanted persons in Laguna nabbed

LAGUNA, Philippines —Five wanted persons were arrested in series of operations in this province on Friday.

Col. Rogarth Campo, Laguna police director, said Rodelio Angeles, 40; Maria Theresa Campus, 38; Samson Tanyag II, 38; Gerald Castro, 45, and Bernard Royo were apprehended.

Police said Tanyag, a murder suspect, was ranked ninth among the most wanted persons in the province. Tanyag was collared in Barangay Poblacion 3 in Sta Cruz.

The four other suspects were arrested in the cities of Calamba, San Pablo and Cabuyao and Rizal.

“We will continue to hunt down wanted criminals even if they hide in distant areas,” Campo said.
