MANILA, Philippines — The curfew for adults is lifted in Navotas, but “discipline hours” from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. will be in place for minors as Metro Manila was eased to Alert Level 2, Mayor Toby Tiangco said yesterday.

In City Ordinance No. 2021-56, the midnight to 4 a.m. curfew was lifted for adults in Navotas.

But the “discipline hour” period from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. was reinstated under City Ordinance No. 2021-60 for minors. The city previously imposed a 24-hour curfew on minors.

The latter ordinance also lifted the fines imposed on the parents of guardians of errant minors, instead imposing community service or imprisonment for the parents or guardians and counseling for the minors, depending on the number of offenses.
