2 online sellers found dead in Laguna
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Two online sellers of detergents were found dead in their car in Barangay Banlic in Calamba, Laguna on Thursday.
The bodies of Arman Nikko Bautista, 32, and April Rhon Reyes, 21, were discovered in an abandoned Mercedes Benz van in a vacant lot near a subdivision at around 4 a.m.
Bautista’s body was covered with a blanket while a carton box was placed on Reyes’ head. The two suffered gunshots to the head.
The relatives of the victims sought police assistance after the victims, who were supposed to meet with a supplier at a gasoline station in Barangay San Cristobal on Tuesday, failed to return home.
Bystanders said the van was seen parked in the vacant lot before the bodies of the victims were discovered.
Probers are eyeing robbery as the motive for the killing.
