8 cops hurt in Davao Sur road mishap

MANILA, Philippines — Eight policemen were injured when their vehicle plunged into a ravine in Digos, Davao del Sur on Friday.

Lt. Col. Rey Felipe Armigos, Lt. Nico Querubin, Executive M/Sgt. Eduardo Madanlo, Senior S/Sgt. Anthony Acosta and Pat. Mevin Villarta, Jino Dela Cerna, Rejay Tambis and Miguel Ugsimar were airlifted to a hospital for treatment.

A report from the Digos police said the policemen were escorting a validating team from the Directorate for Police Community Relations when the driver lost control of the wheel when the brake malfunctioned in Barangay Kapatagan.
