MANILA, Philippines — Four persons were wounded after a man wielding a bolo went amuck in Quezon City yesterday.
Santiago Domdom, 30, was arrested along Philand Drive in Barangay Pasong Tamo at around 1:30 a.m., according to a police report. He is being held on charges of frustrated murder.
Domdom is accused of hacking motorcycle rider Elizer Rivera in the back. Another rider and his passenger were wounded after they fell from their motorcycle while evading Domdom’s attack.
The suspect also reportedly hacked barangay executive officer Nestor del Rosario, 65, in the head.
Bystanders beat up Domdom before he was accosted by barangay officials and brought to the police station. Probers have yet to determine the suspect’s motive.
