Quezon City delivers business permits for free
MANILA, Philippines — Business owners in Quezon City no longer need to line up and personally pick up their registration documents at the city hall following the launch of a new system enabling free delivery of business permits.
The local government launched this week the Automatic Document Delivery System (ADDS) to ensure the ease of doing business by tapping into various technologies such as automation system.
“Before, applicants have to set an appointment or book a courier service at their expense to pick up their business permits. We have partnered with Airspeed, which will do the delivery for them for free,” Mayor Joy Belmonte said.
ADSS allows the city’s Business Permits and Licensing Department (BPLD) to deliver permits right at the applicant’s doorsteps.
After the applicants submitted a filled out unified application form and other necessary requirements at the QC e-services, the documents will be evaluated and verified by the BPLD, Zoning Administration Unit, Assessor’s Department and other ancillary departments.
Approved permits will be released to the Business One-Stop-Shop and will be forwarded to ADDS.
ADDS will separate documents for filing and delivery, print the KyusiPass, encode the documents ready for release and print a QR code that includes the recipient’s address. After these, the documents will be turned over to a designated driver for delivery.
“Before we release the permits, we have a checklist to ensure that the documents we will send to the business owners are complete,” BPLD chief Ma. Margarita Santos said.
