Quezon City opens new vaccine registration system

MANILA, Philippines — The Quezon City government yesterday launched an online registration and scheduling system to provide residents with more ways to access its vaccination program.

The new system, called QC Vax Easy, was rolled out as a complement to the online eZConsult and barangay-assisted bookings that have been implemented since the start of the vaccination rollout in March.

“Through QC Vax Easy, the Quezon City government aims to expand the ways for us to ensure that residents and workers can register and get vaccinated so we can achieve population protection,” the city government said in an advisory.

Those who registered via the eZConsult platform or through their barangays may still register through the new platform, which is accessible at https://qceservices.quezoncity.gov.ph/qcvaxeasy.

They will receive a text message confirming their schedule once the city receives additional vaccines against COVID-19.

The city decided to develop the additional system following glitches encountered with eZConsult, which was developed and is being managed by healthcare services provider Zuellig Pharma.

“Following the ultimatum we imposed on eZConsult to upgrade their server capacity and address other reported issues… we were told that they have succeeded in fixing their system,” the city government said.

“However, we can only assess these improvements when we schedule another round of online booking. Rest assured that the city government will never stop implementing measures to ensure smooth and efficient access to COVID-19 vaccines,” it added.

On Thursday, the city provided buses for some 200 residents in Barangay Sauyo and Gulod to ferry them to vaccination sites.

It also partnered with various sectors to open additional sites across the city.

Latest data showed that the city government has administered 733,008 vaccines so far, including 557,132 first doses and 175,876 second doses.

A record-breaking 45,136 doses were administered at 45 vaccination sites on Wednesday.

The city government said additional slots will be opened once more vaccines arrive.
