127 marine students contract COVID-19

SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Philippines — The Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA) in San Narciso, Zambales was locked down anew after 127 students tested positive for COVID.

The students are undergoing quarantine at the school’s facility, according to a report submitted  by Noel Bueno, provincial health officer.

The report did not mention how or where the students got the virus.

This is the second time that the school was placed under lockdown.

Bueno said the recent infections brought to 2,431 the total number of confirmed cases in Zambales.
