Alleged Parojinog hitman falls

MANILA, Philippines — A suspected hitman of the Parojinog drug ring operating in Ozamiz City was arrested for murder in Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur on Thursday.

Agents of the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group (AKG) apprehended Fenel Jhon Chavez in Barangay Poblacion, PNP chief Gen. Debold Sinas said.

The AKG said Chavez  ranked seventh on the list of most wanted persons in Iligan City.

Police said the suspect yielded a .45-caliber pistol, a. 22-caliber rifle, rounds of ammunition, a cell phone and several identification cards.

Capt. Edwin of the Zamboanga peninsula police said Chavez was a gun-for-hire and a ”hardcore hitman” utilized by some politicians in Iligan and Ozamiz. – Roel Pareño
