Go aids displaced workers in Moalboal
MANILA, Philippines — As the pandemic continues to adversely affect the lives of Filipinos as they welcome the New Year, the office of Sen. Bong Go provided assistance to more than 500 beneficiaries in Moalboal, Cebu on Dec. 28.
The 518 beneficiaries, composed of displaced workers, tour guides and boatmen, were given packed meals, food packs, face masks, face shields and vitamins at the Basdiot covered court.
It was the second assistance distribution in Moalboal. The first benefited 41 boatmen on Nov. 27.
Go assured residents that once a safe vaccine becomes available, President Duterte would prioritize the poor and vulnerable sectors as well as frontliners.
Go’s team also distributed bicycles to selected recipients which they can use for work as mass transportation remains a challenge.
Other beneficiaries received tablets for their children’s use in online classes as part of the school’s implementation of blended learning.
Go urged those with medical condition to seek assistance at the Malasakit Centers at the Talisay City District Hospital, Lapu-Lapu City District Hospital, Eversley Childs Sanitarium and General Hospital in Mandaue City as well as Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center and St. Anthony Mother and Child Hospital, in Cebu City.
