P6.8 million shabu seized in Cavite

MANILA, Philippines — A Nigerian man was arrested for alleged possession of a kilo of shabu valued at P6.8 million in Bacoor City, Cavite on Wednesday.

Ifeanyi Ukoji, 36, was apprehended after selling shabu to undercover agents in a parking lot of a fastfood chain in Barangay Talaba 4 at around 11:30 a.m., Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency spokesman Derrick Carreon said.

Meanwhile, in Nueva Ecija, Robert Downing was killed in a shootout with anti-narcotics agents in Barangay Bantug, San Jose City at around 10 p.m., also on Wednesday, city police chief Lt. Col. Heryl Bruno said.

Bruno said Downing was a ”high-value” drug suspect who operated in the city and nearby areas.— Ramon Efren Lazaro, Raymund Catindig
