Manila North Road closed for repair

Jose Rodel Clapano - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Portions of the Manila North Road (MNR) in San Fernando, La Union have been closed for upgrade, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced yesterday.

In a report received by DPWH Secretary Mark Villar, portions of the road starting in front of Robinson’s Mall would be closed from 9 p.m. last night to 9 p.m. tomorrow.

DPWH regional director Ronnel Tan said workers would install polyethylene pipes for the cross drainage, which is part of an upgrading and rehabilitation project of the DPWH.

Warning signs and barricades have been installed along the affected section.

Motorists have been advised to use the designated alternate routes.
