Amok shot dead by cops in Cavite

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Police gunned down a man who wounded five persons in a stabbing spree in Carmona, Cavite on Tuesday.

Factory worker Efren Mituda died while being treated at the Pagamutang Bayan ng Carmona.

Mituda’s partner Wendy Suvillaga, 32; Ralph Louie, 23; Jose Sta. Maria, 49; Larry Napiri, 31, and Dexter delos Santos, all residents of Barangay Maduya, were taken to the same hospital for treatment.

Armed with a steel pipe, Mituda reportedly attacked Suvillaga then used a knife in hitting his neighbors.

Probers are looking into reports that Mituda had been depressed after he lost his job due to the enhanced community quarantine.
