Roel Pareño - The Philippine Star

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — Security forces arrested two suspected Abu Sayyaf bandits tagged in the kidnapping of two teachers in this city on Saturday night.

Erma Sahibiol, alias Emz, and Kimar Juram, alias Monica, are reportedly followers of Abu Sayyaf sub-leader Idang Susukan, according to Brig. Gen. Froilan Quidilla, chief of the Zamboanga regional police.

The suspects were arrested by agents of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Barangay Patalon at around 9 p.m. The arrest was based on a warrant issued by a local court in Jolo, Sulu in February for charges of kidnapping and serious illegal detention.

The suspects reportedly seized Rosina Singua, 58, in front of a church in Jolo, Sulu in September, Quidilla said.
