PASIG, Philippines — Students of public schools in Pasig who will graduate with honors will receive cash incentives from the city government.
Under an ordinance signed yesterday by Mayor Vico Sotto, senior high school students who graduate with highest honors will receive P3,000, P2,000 for high honors and P1,000 for those with honors.
Grade school students will get P1,500, P1,000 and P500, respectively.
“The city council hereby authorizes the mayor to grant cash rewards to deserving honor students of public elementary and senior high schools,” the ordinance read.
