MANILA, Philippines — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Friday conducted an ocular inspection of the proposed parade route as part of preparations for the upcoming summer Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
MMDA chairman Danilo Lim yesterday said the proposed route of the Parade of Stars is from Welcome Rotonda-Quezon Avenue to Quezon Memorial Circle.
The proposed route was inspected by the parade committee chaired by Michael Salalima, chief of staff of the office of the general manager, and co-chaired by Neomi Recio, the MMDA’s traffic engineering center chief.
The parade will be held on April 5, Palm Sunday, MMFF executive director Rochelle Ona said.
It will span 6.2 kilometers and is expected to last two and a half hours.
The summer film festival will start on April 11, Black Saturday, and run for 11 days.
The Lenten holiday of Black Saturday is the second highest grossing playdate next to Christmas, the MMDA said.
