Fires break out in Caloocan, Manila

MANILA, Philippines — At least 23 houses were razed when fires broke out in Caloocan and Manila yesterday morning.
Eleven houses were destroyed in the fire that struck Ruby Ville Subdivision in Baesa, Caloocan at around 7:30 a.m., according to fire marshal Supt. Stephen Requina said.
Requina said the fire reached the third alarm before it was put out at around 9:30 a.m. Damage to property was placed at P1.5 million.
Two persons were injured in the fire.
In Manila, 15 houses were razed when a fire hit Katuparan, Vitas in Tondo.
Manila fire chief investigator Capt. John Joseph Jalique said the blaze left 23 families homeless.
