Drug suspect shot dead in Cavite

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines —  A “high-value” drug suspect was killed while his two cohorts were wounded in an alleged shootout with law enforcers in Bacoor City, Cavite on Wednesday.

Police said Joseph Perez, alias Jap, fired at police officers who posed as buyers of shabu in a sting in Barangay Molino III at around 4:10 p.m. The arrested suspects were identified as Jude Declaro and Mark Angelo.

Col. Marlon Santos, Cavite police director, said Perez’s partner Mary Jane Salvador was arrested in a drug bust on Monday.                                                                       –
