MANILA,Philippines — Motorists bound for Metro Manila endured hours of slow-moving traffic along the South Luzon Expressway yesterday as the Skyway management started to install temporary steel ramps at the SLEX’s Alabang viaduct.
The installation of the temporary steel ramps, which will be connected to the Skyway, will be completed on Nov. 30, Skyway O & M Corp. (SOMCO) president Manuel Bonoan said in a GMA interview.
“We expect that this will help a lot because many want to pass at Skyway. So, they have this opportunity to do so,” he said.
The ramps will be used by cars with RFID.
Meanwhile, SOMCO also announced that SLEX’s Filinvest southbound exit ramp will be closed on Nov. 8 and 9. The exit ramp’s closure is expected to result in heavy traffic along SLEX’s southbound lanes.
