2 Australians killed in Olongapo shooting

OLONGAPO CITY, Philippines – Two Australian citizens were shot dead in a car along the highway in this city yesterday.

A police report identified the fatalities as Anthony George Wilson, 61, and Mila Bailey, 41, and the gunman as Michael McLaren, also an Australian.

Bailey’s husband Wayne, 71, was wounded and is now in stable condition in a hospital. Their daughter was brought to the same hospital for checkup.

McLaren was said to be a guest at the Gum Leaves Beach Resort in Barrio Barretto, which is owned by the Bailey couple.

Wilson was reportedly the owner of Crazy Horse Bar Subic.

An investigation is ongoing.
