Pimp nabbed in Manila

MANILA, Philippines – A man was arrested in Intramuros, Manila on Tuesday for allegedly selling two 17-year-old girls for sex.

After being caught in a sting staged by the National Bureau of Investigation’s Anti-Human Trafficking Division (NBI-AHTRAD), Mark Eugine Ando admitted to using to book clients.

NBI-AHTRAD chief Janet Francisco said yesterday they received a tip from non-government organization Destiny Rescue that someone had been recruiting and offering teenage girls for P5,000.

Agents rescued the two girls Ando brought with him as well as six girls and two women he recruited. They were turned over to Manila social workers.

“Most of my regular customers are seamen. I’m earning P1,000 from each of the girls that I booked. I have gay contacts who are looking for young girls for their clients. I’ve been doing this for one year,” Ando said.

Francisco said the center of Ando’s operation is in Intramuros and he has been turning over the girls to his clients at a fastfood restaurant in Intramuros.
