Duterte unveils P1.3-billion Bataan capitol building

BALANGA CITY, Philippines — President Duterte led the inauguration on Thursday of the P1.3-billion Bataan provincial capitol building.

Duterte also inaugurated the Bataan Government Center and Business Hub known as the “Bunker.”

In his speech, the President said he was amazed by the development of Bataan.

Duterte gave Bataan a score of eight out of 10 for good governance after it was awarded as one of the most business-friendly provinces by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The historic peninsula, which was the site of the country’s first export processing zone, was also adjudged as one of the fastest growing local government units in the country.

The President was accompanied by Gov. Albert Raymond Garcia during the event.
