MANILA, Philippines — Two brewing storms are forecast to develop into tropical depression in the coming hours, the state weather bureau said Saturday.

In a 10 a.m. advisory, PAGASA said a low pressure area, or LPA, 110 kilometers east northeast of Aparri, Cagayan will bring scattered light to moderate to at times heavy rains over the regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley and Bicol.

The LPA is expected to develop into a tropical depression in the next 36 hours.

Meanwhile, another LPA 820 km east southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur will likely develop into a tropical depression in the next 48 hours.

“The public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to take precautionary measures and monitor for updates,” PAGASA said.
