MANILA, Philippines — The minimum salary of domestic workers in Mimaropa will increase this month.
The National Wages and Productivity Commission said domestic workers would receive a monthly pay of P3,500 after the regional wage board issued an order granting an increase of P1,000.
Domestic workers in Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan, including the city of Calapan and the highly urbanized city of Puerto Princesa, are covered by the wage order.
In February, minimum wage earners in companies with less than 10 workers in Mimaropa received an increase of P11 in their daily take home pay. The increase represents the last tranche of a pay hike under a wage order issued in November last year.
The monthly salary of workers in firms with more than 10 employees was pegged at P320. Those with less that 10 workers got P283.
