New Zamboanga Army chief assumes post

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — The head of the Joint Task Force Zamboanga is now commander of an Army brigade in Zamboanga peninsula. 

Col. Leonel Nicolas took over as 102nd Infantry Brigade commander following a change of command ceremony led by Maj. Gen. Roberto Ancan, First Infantry Division (ID) commander. 

Nicolas replaced Brig. Gen. Bagnus Gaerlan, who was promoted assistant commander of the 1st ID. 

Col. John Divinagracia, deputy commander of the 101st Infantry Brigade based in Isabela City, Basilan, took over as Joint Task Force Zamboanga chief.
