Bus, truck collide in Quezon; 2 dead, 50 hurt

MANILA, Philippines — Two persons were killed and 50 others were injured when a trailer truck crashed into a bus in Atimonan, Quezon on Sunday.

The fatalities are the drivers of the ill-fated vehicles, one of them identified as the bus driver, Jonathan Lirio, Calabarzon police spokesperson Lt. Col. Chitadel Gaoiran said.

The  truck driver reportedly lost control of the wheel while driving down the road in Barangay Malinao Ilaya and hit the Mark Eve bus bound for Manila.

Among the injured were a nine-month-old boy and 10 other children.
