AGOO, La Union, Philippines — Two mortar bombs were found in a coastal barangay in Agoo, La Union yesterday.
Henry Sarmiento, 20, told The STAR that he found the explosives in a vacant property in Barangay San Nicolas West.
The bombs have no fuse and pin, according to Maj. Silverio Ordinado Jr., information officer of the La Union police.
Monico Aspiras, chairman of Barangay San Nicolas West, said they have no idea who brought the explosives in the village.
The bombs were turned over to the local police and were brought to the Explosives and Ordnance Division at Camp Florendo in San Fernando City.
