Israeli tourist hurt in fall while trekking to Batad Rice Terraces

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — An Israeli tourist was injured when he fell into a rice paddy while trekking to the Batad Rice Terraces in  Banaue, Ifugao on Tuesday.

According to a police report, Yossek Salomon, an engineer, and tour guide Kelly Bumnaghat had just visited the Tappiyah Falls when the tourist fell six meters below and hit his  head.

Salomon was taken to the Good News Clinic and Hospital, and later transferred to the Veterans Hospital in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.
