North Cotabato town officials nabbed for shabu

NORTH COTABATO, Philippines — Police and military personnel arrested two local government officials in President Roxas town, North Cotabato on Wednesday for possession of shabu.
Superintendent Aldrin Gonzalez, spokesman of Police Regional Office-12, said Robert Herbilla and Amelito Daquipil are now detained and will be charged for alleged violations of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
Herbilla and Daquipil are the municipal secretary and municipal administrative assistant of the President Roxas municipal government.
They were arrested after police and Army personnel serving search warrants on their houses found shabu.
Gonzalez said the two will also face charges for the illegal possession of firearms because the teams also found unregistered guns during their search.
