6 killed, 14 hurt in multiple-vehicle crash in Laguna

MANILA, Philippines— At least six people died and 14 others were injured in a multiple-vehicle crash in Laguna late Saturday.

The STAR reported that a 14-wheeler rammed 17 vehicles, a bakery and a house at Barangay Sto. Domingo in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

Television reports said the truck lost control, causing the crash.

The injured passengers included two minors aged one and 2.

An initial report from the police said the truck’s driver escaped following the incident. The authorities are now looking for him. —Rosette Adel
