NORTH COTABATO, Philippines — Two persons were seriously wounded in a grenade explosion in Pikit, North Cotabato before dawn on Sunday.
Businessman Kim John Tañada and security guard Christopher Montecino were standing in front of a store along Colony street when the grenade went off.
The victims were initially brought to the Cruzado Medical Hospital in Pikit and later transferred to a hospital in Kidapawan.
Superintendent Aldrin Gonzalez, Soccsksargen police spokesman, said motorcycle-riding men reportedly hurled the grenade.
