MANILA, Philippines — The government will issue a new identification card for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) after scrapping the iDOLE cards.
The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration yesterday launched the OFW e-card, which will be given to OWWA members for free.
About 250,000 OFWs are estimated to benefit from the Phase 1 implementation of the project.
A number of OFWs were given e-cards during yesterday’s launching.
Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello said the OFW e-cards replaced the iDOLE cards.
