MANILA, Philippines — Two alleged robbers were killed in an alleged encounter with police in Pasay City yesterday morning.
Senior Superintendent Noel Flores, city police chief, said they conducted an operation shortly after they received a complaint from a woman who was allegedly robbed along Gil Puyat Avenue at around 4:30 a.m.
He said the suspects, who remain unidentified, were spotted along West Service Road near Merville Subdivision.
Police officers shot and killed the suspects, who allegedly started firing at the lawmen when they approached, Flores said.
A .38 caliber revolver was recovered from the slain suspects, he added, noting that the complainant said the suspects were the same men who robbed her.
