Baguio starts to chill at 15°C

BAGUIO CITY  , Philippines  —   The signature morning chill in this city has come early.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the temperature was recorded at 15 degrees yesterday morning. 

The state weather bureau said the drop in temperature is expected to continue until weekend and would go up only to 23 degrees Celsius at midday.

The highland chill, which usually starts in November, is felt until February. 

The lowest temperature this year was recorded on Jan 12 at 14 degrees Celsius. 

On Feb. 12 last year, the coldest temperature was recorded at 9.2 degrees Celsius. 

Baguio City’s lowest temperature was recorded on Jan. 16, 1963 at 6.3 degrees Celsius.
