MANILA, Philippines — Philippine National Police chief Director General Oscar Albayalde has named the new police directors of Zamboanga peninsula, Mimaropa and Caraga.
Chief Superintendent Emmanuel Licup, Mimaropa police director, will replace Chief Superintendent Billy Beltran as Zamboanga peninsula police chief, who is retiring on Oct. 9.
The turnover ceremony was held at Camp Abendan in Zamboanga City on Tuesday.
Albayalde named Chief Superintendent Tomas Apolinario Jr. of the Southern Police District as Mimaropa police chief.
In Caraga, Chief Superintendent Gibert DC Cruz assumed the post as police director yesterday. He replaced Chief Superintendent Noli Romana.
Cruz was the former director of the Eastern Visayas police.
The Caraga police said Romana would be assigned to the Directorate for Integrated Police Operations in Eastern Mindanao. – Roel Pareño
