'Ang Probinsyano' actor Arnold Corpuz found dead in Cavite home

MANILA, Philippines — Actor Arnold Corpuz was found dead at his house in Barangay Biga, Silang, Cavite on Wednesday.

Corpuz’s body, which bore multiple stab wounds, was found lying on the floor ”almost naked,” Senior Superintendent William Segun, Cavite police director, said in a text message.

Corpuz’s relatives checked on the actor after he did not answer phone calls and text messages since Monday.

Probers found a scissor and a kitchen knife, both believed used in the killing. They said it appeared that Corpuz and the killer had a drinking spree as a bottle of brandy was found at the scene.

Corpuz played the role of a mayor in Ang Probinsyano, which is being aired over ABS-CBN, and bit roles in other television shows.
