Rescued dolphin in Ilocos dies

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines —The stranded male pantropical spotted dolphin rescued by Ilocano fishermen near the Badoc shoreline last Wednesday morning died two days later.
Arthur Valente, fisheries regulatory coordinator of the Provincial Agriculture Office confirmed to government-run Philippine News Agency that the dolphin died despite the efforts of several trained responders in the coastal village of Saud, Badoc town to revive it.
