MRT-3 reports first unloading in 29 days

Robertzon Ramirez - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) yesterday reported its first unloading incident in 29 days.

The rail line said it unloaded 420 commuters after a southbound train developed an electrical problem with its motor upon reaching its Cubao station.

The affected train was removed from the tracks and brought to the MRT-3’s depot in Quezon City for repairs.

The MRT-3 said the 29 days of no unloading incidents, from July 4 to Aug. 1, is the longest so far since 2011. The record surpassed the 28 days without unloading incidents from April 24 to May 21.
