MANILA, Philippines —  Severe Tropical Storm Inday (international name Ampil) is now outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility Saturday early morning, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

“Inday” left the PAR at 1 a.m.

It maintained its strength before it left PAR. “Inday” packed maximum sustained winds of 90 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 115 kilometers per hour.

The severe tropical storm did not hit the land.

Although "Inday" is already out of PAR, monsoon rains enhanced by the weather disturbance and the low pressure area spotted, are expected to prevail.

At 3:00 a.m. Saturday, the LPA is 285 kilometers west of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. It may develop into a tropical depression within the next 48 hours.

The southwest monsoon or habagat is expecred to bring intermittent moderate to heavy monsoon rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Zambales, Bataan and scattered light to moderate with occasional heavy rains over Metro Manila, Calabarzon and the rest of Central Luzon until Sunday.

"Residents of these areas, especially those living in low-lying and mountainous areas, are advised to take appropriate actions against possible flooding and landslide, coordinate with local disaster risk reduction and management offices, and continue monitoring for updates," the state weather bureau said.

"Sea travel remains risky over the western seaboard of Northern and Central Luzon due to the Southwest Monsoon," PAGASA added.
