Caloocan cops to crack down on robbery gang
MANILA, Philippines — The Caloocan police yesterday vowed to crack down on the crime syndicate targeting coffee shops and restaurants in the city since last week.
“We are intensifying police presence and visibility to places where said establishments are located. We have also deployed detective beat patrol or police officers wearing plain clothes to the same area,” Caloocan deputy chief for administration Superintendent Ferdinand del Rosario said.
He also advised these establishments to hire a security agency, after it was learned that the coffee shop held up in Caloocan last Sunday had no security guard.
Robbers held up tea and coffee shop Hideout on Sunday night and Manzano’s Kitchen last Wednesday, stealing P300,000 worth of smartphones from their customers.
