2 drug suspects killed in Bataan

BALANGA, Bataan, Philippines — Two drug suspects were killed in an aleged firefight with police officers in Abucay town here on Saturday.

Aries Villanueva, 39, and Demetrio Urbano died at the scene following a shootout in Barangay Gabon, according to town police chief Senior Inspector Jennifer Cruz.

Police said the suspects pulled out their firearms after they sold a sachet of shabu to an undercover agent, trigerring a firefight the resulted in their death.

Villanueva and Urbano had just been released from jail ondrug charges, Cruz said.

Probers recovered a pistol, a revolver, a sachet of shabu, marked money and drug paraphernalia from the suspects.
