Man, daughter hacked to death, burned

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — A farmer and his daughter were hacked to death and burned in Barangay Kapitan Ramon, Silay, Negros Occidental yesterday.

The bodies of Antonio Padua, 63, and Rhea Ann, 8, which bore hack wounds and placed on top of each other, were discovered at around  5 a.m. The girl’s head was almost severed.

Superintendent Noel Polines, Silay police chief, said there was no sign of forcible entry into the house of the victims. He said the victims could have been killed while they were sleeping.
