Soldiers, workers get free MRT rides

MANILA, Philippines — Starting tomorrow, personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) can avail themselves of free rides on the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3).

Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade and MRT-3 general manager Rodolfo Garcia will sign a memorandum of agreement with AFP Civil Relations Service chief Brig. Gen. Bienvenido Datuin Jr. tomorrow for the free rides.

The MRT management is also offering free rides to workers in public and private entities on Labor Day.

The free rides are available from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
