MANILA, Philippines — The man who allegedly hacked to death six members of a family in San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija has been arrested.
Jessie Tesoro, 34, was apprehended in Barangay Cut-Cut, Tarlac City at around 7:45 p.m.on Friday, Chief Superintendent Amador Corpus, Central Luzon police director, said yesterday.
Tesoro was accused of killing his partner Jennifer Cariaga, 24; Leonila, 48; Sergio, 29; Amy, 12, and Joshua, 10, all surnamed Caballero; and Sonny Custodio.
Annalyn Caballero, 19, was wounded in the attack and remained confined in a hospital.
Two other children, aged 5 and 1, were unhurt.
Prior to the incident, Tesoro and Cariaga had an argument, Corpus said, citing a police report.
Chief Inspector Ranny Casilla, San Leonardo police chief, said Tesoro killed the victims while they were sleeping.
