6 hacked to death in Nueva Ecija

MANILA, Philippines — Six members of a family were found dead at a house they are renting in Barangay Tambo-Adorable, San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija yesterday.

The bodies of Jennifer, Leonila, Josua, Sergio and Abby, all surnamed Caballero, and Sonny Custodio bore hack wounds. They were discovered by their neighbors at around 4:30 a.m., Senior Inspector Jacquiline Gahid, Nueva Ecija police spokesperson, said.

Annalyn, also surnamed Caballero, was wounded and confined in a hospital in Cabanatuan City.

A manhunt for the suspect identified as Jessie Tesoro, Jennifer’s partner, is ongoing.

Police said the victims could have been killed while they were sleeping.
